Shoot 4

For this shoot i changed the appature to F16 and shutter speed of 400. This produced a low light display and is very interesting for twilight displays as it is very dark and mysterious in some of the shots, I also got some pictures of the moonlight through some trees. This is a very diffrent approch to my sort of photography but i did want to try it out.

To do some of the shoots i shot through a window which i have noticed in some of my pictures shows a random yellow streak across the picture which i think adds to the picture and gives the picture a pretty insight of what the photo is trying to show.

ENLARGEMENTS:

I also used a white LED and purposly reflected it through the window to see if i can get a sort of gloomy and mysterious light in my pictures, i believe it worked quite well especially in this one as the picture shows the light in the cloud almost looks like the moon with a dark shade in the trees.

Overall I like the shoot technique however i do not like it as much as my abstract therefore after considering the total outcomes for my final project I will use the abstract images from shoots 2 and 3 for my twilight book. I may use this in the future however as i do like the way the shade of tone from the black hits the white light.

experemental.

Using an image I had produced with my camera during our twlight shoots i wanted to see if i could make it any better as i really like the pattern it came out with and the colour so i believe i could make it (image bellow)

So i opened the image up into photoshop to try anjd experement with the image. I first opened up an A4 international paper spread. Using this spread i duplicated this image on to the page 4 times and made them fit perfectly together on the spread. Using the Satuation tool i highlighted 3 of the layers and changed the satuation/hue of the picture to give the image some more colours other than purple. (2 of them down bellow)

I then made the A4 paper into a Jpg file after ajusting the curve and level of the picture this is what i came up with.

I like this image alot that i have produced as i believe the colours fit nicely together and it is a happy picture with lovely beautiful colours. It also shows a pop art effect to the image as it is the same image in different colours

Today i decided to do some experements with some of my pictures from shoot 3 so i took this picture bellow and thought i could change it into a abstact painting effect instead of leaving it as a photo.

I then opened the photo up in a program called Photoshop and i tweaked with the saturation and hue settings to make it red and green, I decided it was too blury so i reduced the noise but i still thought i could inprove it so i went onto the image options and i changed the whole photo into a painting.
This gave me the idea of making the painting into a circular shape so i made this change and lastly adjusted the levels, this is what i came up with.
Its a very unusual sort of picture but ir really stands out and looks incredibly beautiful to look at. I like it as it shows the colours at there highest spec as in the way the colour is so bright and beautiful in both the red and the green. The white light also worked well as it looks like the image is shooting out the green from the red.
I decided to see what it was like in black and white aswell. I think it looks quite unique and intresting to look at now it is blackened but i prefer the coloured i was just experementing.
Using photoshop i editied one of my photos and made it look really abstract using the satuation and hue tool i made it more of a brighter colour so it fits with the background, i then used the gradient to make the bacjkground have a shade to it. I adjusted the levels to the right amount this is what i came up with

Sola

Sola is a UK photographer who uses the technique Light writing. The medium I believe is digital as it is a technique tht needs to be done with a SLR camera on manual mode as the camera setting.

I was inspired by this artist to produce my own shoots and i have done using his work. I liked this artist very much  because he really shows the light through moving the camera at diffrent angles of degrees to give a a low light abstract effect on his pictures.

I believe he uses a pattern very abstractly in all his pictures as you can never make out what they are but they are still very ravishing to look at.

If i was to take anything from this artist it would be the way the artist zooms in on the light and moves the camera whist doing this to give a close up or light graffiti which produces a lovely pattern to look at.

Patrick Rochon

Patrick is an award-winning Light Painting photographer who has been doing light writing for 19 years so he has alot of experience.  He won First prize at a Nikon Camera contest in Japan. Patrick has done Light Painting photography for fashion and rock magazines, CD jackets, DVDs, posters, internet and others. He has done light writing for the famous car making company such as Toyaota and Honda.

These are two of his photos, I believe the medium may be digital as the light in the picture which is covering the bodys of both pictures are quite low light conditions so i presume the light writer has used a low shutter speed or bulb setting and quite a small appature of F16.

I really like this as i think it is very fascinating to look at. The way he has used colours is also another intrest as the pictures really stand out with the colour because the colours give a more happy and mind calming feeling to the picture.

The subject this artist studies is people in different sort of actions and poses.

Im going to try and use this effect in my own twilight photogrpahy. i will need to use diffrent colours for each part to produce a image near enough like the ones this artist does. I believe i am going to try the first image as i really like it the way the women is nude but its not pornogrpahy or anything as the way he has made her covered in light has made the image beautiful to look at.

MARK ROTHKO

Mark Rothko was a Russian painter,
He was classified as a abstract expressionist which means it was an american war post.- world war II environment. He did abstract paintings such as these.

I'm going to be honest I don't like this at all as I think it is very bland and not interesting, However I like the way the colours go in this painting as they really mix together nicely, I also have to consider the fact these are absolutely huge and apparently are ravishing in real life. It is also in a museum of modern art.

I like this one as it is quite interesting as it shows the tone of the shades black and grey. it also has fascinating  patterns in side the grey and it is very abstract. Again though i dislike the way it is very bland and seems very simple to do.l

The Technique he is using is abstract as you cant quite make out what he is trying to show. The medium would be painting with diffrent colours.
